Italia? Si, per favore!

Padova, Italy
Italy is on the top of my list of places I want to visit. I've been thinking lately that I want to study abroad next year in Italy. I really want to do something that it is out of the ordinary and that will give me a great experience. I would like to take class or two on Italian so I can at least know some of the language before I go. I need to get out of my comfort zone and try something new and exciting. Even though I go to school and work two part time jobs, I'm still sometimes bored out of my mind! It's really starting to aggravate me.

I want to go to Italy because first of all I'm Italian and learning more about my heritage would be really fascinating. Plus, Italy has so many great attractions to see especially with all the beautiful buildings and the meanings behind them. I would love to go to Venice or Rome but if I go to U of M-Dearborn then Padova is the only choice. If I go to Grand Valley State, they have few other different cities including Rome. So it all just depends on which school I attend and which program is best for me. I'm going to try to get some information about each programs from the two schools and see what happens.

  2. I like the idea of getting out of your comfort zone. A lot of people get very comfortable where they are and avoid situations like this, but I think it would be great and you would learn a lot. Not to mention it's ITALY. Man, there's so much art and culture and just...everything...there! Also, pizza. So, that's a plus. I really think you should consider doing it, Betsy.

  4. And I take it back. I don't want to go to Italy again. We can meet on the border of France and Italy.
